The Eden Valley is situated between The Pennine Mountains and The Lake District. It stretches from the south of Kirkby Stephen to Wetheral, near Carlisle and is a nature lovers' paradise.
The area is relatively undiscovered with quiet roads and tracks which make it ideal for walking and cycling.
Our cottage is adjacent to High Stand Forest with its nature trails and inhabitants of red squirrels, roe dear, badgers and other fauna. Angling can be arranged for you on the ponds in the forest.
The scenic Carlisle-Settle Railway runs through the Eden Valley and the nearest station is at Armathwaite
